Imaginarium, Digital Art & Writing Project ...
This worldbuilding project continues to grow at a steady pace. Characters and their stories are appearing like magic. "Imaginarium" is a long term project ...
Exhibition, "Cabinet of Curiosities" ...
A view inside the exhibition space.
Opening and exhibition ...
November 5th, 2021 to January 21, 2022
at the Edmundston Art Centre
In the studio ...
In the studio working on finishing some sculptures and where this beautiful golden frame is waiting for something special.
It so happens I have the perfect image for it.
Plein air ...
Plein air at the New Brunswick Botanical Garden on Thursdays ... I'm simply enjoying drawing and writing what the landscape whispers to my imagination.
A Rapture Bird in the tree near the big pond ...
Bejeweled Goddess painting ...
In the studio preparing to add gold leaf and jewlery on a second painting of a bejeweled goddess. This time, I'm letting myself be inspired by the amethyst stone.
In the sculpture studio ...
In the sculpture studio working on assembling ceramic pieces and metal with found objects, like this beautiful brass candelabra coming from a nearby church.
Repurposing objects ...
The objects in this photo will woon be integrated to sculptures. Many were given to me; others, I found at garage sales. I love repurposing and giving new life to all sorts of things.
Gold Leaf ...
In the studio working on multiple artworks created with reclaimed or given objects. In this image, a 5 feet x 3 feet goddess painting in progress incorporating old jewelry, lamp parts, furniture mouldings, ceramic elements, glass cabochon, door knobs and more.
At this stage, I'm preparing to apply some gold leaf. After that, I will see what else needs to be done. Thank you artsnb for the support given towards this project.
There will be an exhibition of this body of work this autumn.
Gothic ...
I figured the dining room would be the perfect place to install these three digital paintings that were part of the Festival d'art actuel of Edmundston last fall. This arrangement refers to cathedral windows or to an altarpiece.
