The project « Rewilding of the Goddess » first took place in nature, through a series of ephemeral installations. Presented in gallery, this new version preserves that spirit while opening a breach in time. Most of the goddesses were displayed on heritage furniture from the collection of the Madawaska Historical Museum. Diverted from their original domestic use, these pieces became altars, as well as surfaces of memory, transforming the exhibition into a meeting place between heritage and reinvention.
As in the outdoor installations, the goddesses presented in the gallery invite us to deepen our listening. They offer a reflection on the erosion of ecosystems, reminding us that rewilding is not a return to the past, but an active commitment to reweave our sacred bond with the Earth. Even within the walls of the gallery, the goddesses remains untamed, moving through stone and wood as the wind moves through a clearing, reminding us that the sacred can emerge wherever we choose to honor it.
A sincere thank you to all who responded to the invitation and helped make this exhibition a space of shared intentions. Your offerings of flowers, accompanied by your wishes for love and peace in the world, have nourished a collective movement, subtle, yet deeply meaningful, directed toward humanity and the planet.
